Can I retain some of my own drivers?
Drivers Plus encourages our clients to retain proven drivers that represent your company well. At your discretion, we can provide replacement drivers or retain others as you see fit.
How do I handle layoffs or termination?
Drivers Plus, at your direction, will handle all disciplinary issues as well as direct contact with EDD. The drivers are under our employment umbrella.
How do I communicate with my drivers in the field?
Drivers Plus can provide you with pagers, radios or cell phones for dispatch purposes, depending on the scope of your contract.
What are my payroll and accounting obligations?
Drivers Plus handles all payroll issues and will distribute the paychecks on a weekly basis. All that would be required from your office would be submittal of the driver timecards, and mileage if applicable.
What happens if a driver is involved in an accident while performing my work?
Each driver is monitored for current compliant vehicle insurance. Additionally, they are covered under the Drivers Plus General Liability policy. We handle all the paperwork.
What if a driver is out due to illness or scheduled time off?
Drivers Plus, based on the scope of your contract, will train back up personnel on your dedicated work for such an event.
Do I have to enter into a long term contract?
No. At Drivers Plus we believe that our performance will warrant your continued business, but understand that economics or other business considerations may influence your decision. All contracts are subject to a 30 day written notice of termination by either party.
Who do our drivers contact regarding employment issues such as health care, vehicle problems or other issues that may impact their availability or performance?
Drivers Plus provides a printed contact sheet to each driver as well as your company. It is the driver's responsibility to contact Drivers Plus for all employment or equipment issues.
My business is growing and I may need to add drivers. How do I accomplish that task?
Contact your Drivers Plus representative. We will handle the necessary advertising and interviewing. Before the actual hiring, we will present the qualified applicants for your final approval.
What if we need the driver to go somewhere other than his normal route?
No Problem. Our drivers are dedicated to your work exclusively. They are subject to your direction and dispatch. At Drivers Plus, we strive to provide you with a seamless extension to your operations.
